Eye health and urgent visits
Beyond dry eye, we look after other eye problems. Your optometrist decides what we can care for here and what we refer to another eye doctor.
- We care for this
Red, itchy or irritated eyes
Dust and pollen season can bring them on. We look for the cause.
- We care for this
Eyelid bumps and swollen lids
We check the lids and the glands along them and explain the options.
- We care for this
Contact lens discomfort
Lenses that sting or feel dry by evening, or a lens that does not sit right.
- We co-manage
Glaucoma and diabetes checks
We check your eyes at routine visits and work with your doctor.
- We refer
Cataracts and other problems that need another eye doctor
We watch for changes and refer you to the right eye doctor when treatment is needed.
- Sudden vision loss, flashes of light, a curtain over your vision, a chemical splash or an eye injury needs care now. Call our office right away or go to an emergency room. If you can't reach us, call 911.

Questions about urgent visits
How is an urgent visit billed?
A visit for an eye problem is usually billed to medical insurance, not to a vision plan. We explain it at the front desk.
Can I come without an appointment?
Please call first so we can tell you the best way to be seen.
Not sure what to do?
Call the office. We tell you whether to come in, wait for a routine visit or go to an emergency room.
