Eyewear

Eyewear for dry air and bright sun

Frames in many styles, fitted at the optical counter by people who see what the desert does to your eyes.

Your optical assistant measures, adjusts and repairs on the spot when they can. Tell them how you spend your day and how many hours you spend at a screen, and they suggest what fits.

At the optical counter

  • Frames fitted to your face and your prescription

  • Sunglasses made with your prescription

  • Lens coatings for glare and screens

  • Adjustments and repairs

Rows of eyeglass frames fill a wall display in warm golden light

Lens choices

What to ask about

  • Frames for your face

Shapes and materials that sit well and stay put, from light metal to acetate.

  • Sun lenses

Tinted lenses with your prescription, with UV protection. Ask about wraparound shapes for wind and dust.

  • Coatings

Anti-glare for night driving and screens, and a scratch-resistant layer.

  • Repairs

Loose screws, bent frames, new nose pads. Bring them in and we look at them while you wait, when we can.

Your prescription is yours

Your prescription is yours. We give you a copy after your exam and fitting. Fill it anywhere.

Questions about eyewear

Can I buy frames somewhere else with my prescription?

Yes. Your prescription is yours, and you can fill it anywhere.

Does my vision plan help with glasses?

Many vision plans have an eyewear benefit. We check it before you choose and tell you what is left to pay.

Can you fix my glasses?
